We are partnering with a dynamic and growing professional sports organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performance environment, supporting multiple clubs within a wider group structure. The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations across several entities, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic financial insight to support decision-making at both club and group level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the finance function across multiple clubs and entities within the group
- Ensuring accuracy of financial information to enable effective cash flow management, supplier payments, and revenue tracking
- Producing monthly management accounts, budgets, and detailed variance analysis
- Partnering closely with senior leadership to identify cost efficiencies and enhance financial processes through improved systems, technology, and automation
- Leading revenue control processes to ensure all income streams are accurately captured and maximised
- Liaising with external accountants, auditors, and key stakeholders
- Supporting strategic initiatives including growth projects, commercial partnerships, and investment activities
- Ensuring financial compliance across all entities, maintaining strong internal controls and governance
About You
We’re looking for someone experienced, hands-on and commercially minded, who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment. You will have:
- Experience in a multi-entity or group structure environment (experience within sport, leisure, or entertainment sectors is advantageous)
- AAT Level 3 qualification or higher (Level 4 desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, Excel, and general ledger management
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders across both finance and non-finance teams
- A hands-on attitude, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growing organisation
