We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead our CGI content delivery function. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the successful orchestration and delivery of our entire portfolio of CGI projects, encompassing both stills and complex animation videos. You will be the senior delivery authority, acting as a key partner to our clients while leading and mentoring a talented team of Senior Project Managers and Producers. Your primary mission is to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the exceptional quality standards our clients expect, while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Programme Oversight & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of all CGI projects, from initial client briefing through to final asset delivery. Ensure a clear and manageable roadmap for the entire programme of work.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary senior point of contact for key clients. Confidently discuss project scope, technical requirements, potential timescales, and budget implications, managing expectations and building strong, trusted partnerships.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, manage, and develop a team of Senior Project Managers and Senior Producers. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and champion a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Process Improvement & Efficiency: Proactively identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within our production pipeline. Design, propose, and implement new processes, workflows, and best practices to increase team efficiency, improve quality, and enhance profitability.
- Strategic Planning & Resourcing: Work closely with senior leadership to forecast resource needs based on the project pipeline. Ensure the team is appropriately structured and staffed to meet current and future client demands.
- Quality & Standards: Uphold and enforce the highest standards of project management discipline across the team. Ensure rigorous documentation, risk management, and communication protocols are followed.
- Financial & Commercial Acumen: Oversee programme-level budgets, track project profitability, and contribute to accurate financial forecasting.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Programme Manager, Head of Projects, or Senior Project/Production Management role within a fast-paced creative agency, production house, or marketing environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing the delivery of complex, multi-stream digital content projects.
- Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and build strong, senior-level relationships.
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing project managers and/or producers.
- A strategic mindset with hands-on experience in analysing, defining, and implementing process improvements.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).
- Commercially astute, with experience in budget management, forecasting, and resource planning.
Desirable (Highly Beneficial)
- Direct experience working within a CGI studio or a production environment focused on VFX or high-end animation.
- Specific experience with automotive clients or content.
- A solid understanding of the CGI production pipeline (modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, compositing).
- Proficiency with the Smartsheet toolset (including Dashboards, Reports, and ideally Control Center) is a significant advantage.
