Role: Midweight Content Creator
Location: Kingston, London, United Kingdom (Currently on-site expected at minimum 2 days per week (Wednesday + Fridays)
About the role:
Do you have a social-first and mobile-first view of content? Are you an endlessly creative social storyteller who excels at building creative visual content on your own? In today’s fast-moving social media landscape, this is a rare opportunity to help the client\’s food category tell its story to the world. This is a high visibility role, working closely within our Social Media team to build a rapport and reach the audience on social in real-time. The Client is seeking a high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative professional to help drive social media activities. The right candidate will be a passionate and creative self-starter who\’s eager to engage in new projects and get stuff done. They\’ll be aware of the social landscape and how this relates to content and be ready to work with social and creative experts to create content about campaigns and events, and to amplify our brand and PR efforts.
What you will be doing:
- As a Social Media Content Creator, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and influencers to shoot and edit social-first content, sourcing content trends on social media, originating treatments/scripts/storyboards/shot lists and then seeing the content all the way through to delivery.
- Carrying out content optimizations based on the performance of content online using data to back up rotational with support from the social team.
- Create video and visual content for TikTok and Instagram primarily whilst also supporting visual content for various social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, and X, with excellent judgment, instincts, and a sharp feelfor the social media landscape
- Content to produce includes vertical video that is native and on trend , a plethora of photography, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc.
- Content shoots will be based both in the field (Home setting) and in-office, using existing materials/props
- Source and create timely social media content to educate various audiences about key campaigns. Whilst being able to provide a robust system for reactive content moments vs planned business as usual content.
- Be creative and develop engaging social media content that\’s aligned with brands’ guidelines and goals
- Attend relevant events for the brand such as shoots, PR, and influencer events to capture social content
- You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues
What you need to be great in this role:
- A well-rounded creative individual who is always innovating, initiating, and creating.
- Be responsive to cultural zeitgeist which provides an opportunity to tell our brand’s story
- Think and act strategically with experience building a long-term social media presence in support of reputational PR efforts
- Understand business and client objectives when interpreting and executing briefs
- Comfortable being in front of the camera, and naturally high energy and high enthusiasm for the food category
- Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
- You’re excited about the integration of Gen AI tools and approach new innovations with energy and curiosity
- Ability to deal with ambiguity – have a bias for action, but an ability to work cohesively with other stakeholders
- Passion for making creative content on a spectrum of media platforms – social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
- Developed extraordinary design, and video and photo editing skills
- Well-versed in working with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery – from a collection of photography to short video clips
- Familiar with working on almost every content creation platform out there: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite & design templates in Canva or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, TikTok, Instagram, FB Live, etc.
- Mastered the ability to turn any branded content into a volume of social gold (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc.)
- 3+ years’ experience of social media/content creation experience
- A portfolio demonstrating your content ideas and execution
- A ability to understand the key social KPI’s and their relation to content trends/editing styles/formats and structure
- Excellent level of English (spoken and written – you will work with an international team)
- You can be the change – you prioritize environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
