About the role: You'll be the person closest to the client's UK social channels, responsible for what goes out, when, and why. From always-on content and campaign activations to reactive cultural moments, you'll lead the planning, publishing, and community management that keeps the client's social presence consistent, culturally relevant, and growing. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes social, who understands what makes audiences stop scrolling and start engaging, and who can translate the client's distinctive brand voice into content that feels native to every platform. Success means a social presence that audiences actively seek out and engage with, a content calendar that balances planned and reactive work seamlessly, and performance data that shows consistent growth in reach, engagement, and brand affinity.

What you will be doing:

  • Content and Channel Management: Lead the client's UK organic social media management across TikTok and Instagram, setting and maintaining a high standard for content quality, community management and brand consistency. Plan and manage social content calendars, balancing always-on publishing with campaign activations, cultural moments, and reactive opportunities. Write and review social copy, ensuring tone of voice is compelling, authentic to the brand, and tailored to each platform's conventions. Monitor social channels and cultural conversations for opportunities to inject the client's voice into relevant moments, using social listening tools and cultural awareness to act quickly.
  • Community and Engagement: Build and grow the client's UK social communities, fostering genuine connection with audiences through proactive engagement, conversation, and community management. Identify opportunities to surprise, delight, and add value for the client's audience through creative activations, partnerships, and real-time engagement. Track trending topics, hashtags, and cultural events, assessing relevance and briefing the team on opportunities worth pursuing.
  • Strategy and Performance: Input into the client's organic social strategy, using a data-led approach to optimise content, formats, and publishing cadence for reach and engagement. Track social performance metrics and input into regular reporting. Use performance data and audience insight to continuously refine the content approach, testing new formats, topics, and creative treatments. Advise the client's UK brand team and wider studio on social best practices, platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends.
  • Client and Stakeholder Partnership: Be a day-to-day point of contact for the client's brand team on social media activity, presenting content plans, ideas, and performance updates with clarity and confidence. Represent the studio during creative briefings for campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives, ensuring social is considered from the outset. Take briefs from the client and translate them clearly into social plans, collaborating with creative and strategy team. Develop clear, engaging presentations for client stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with content creator on developing stand-out social content ideas and assets. Work with the influencer manager to integrate owned and creator content streams and identify creator and advocacy opportunities in the feeds, relevant to the client's social strategy.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong focus on organic social for consumer brands, ideally in beauty, personal care or wellness.
  • Deep platform fluency across TikTok and Instagram including an understanding of algorithms, content formats, audience behaviours, and best practices.
  • A track record of growing and engaging social communities, with examples of content or campaigns that drove measurable results.
  • Experience planning and managing social content calendars across multiple platforms and workstreams, balancing proactive and reactive content at pace.
  • Strong editorial judgement and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt brand voice for different platforms and audiences.
  • Confidence presenting to and partnering with brand clients, with clear, structured communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using social analytics, listening tools, and reporting to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple workstreams without losing sight of quality.
  • A genuine interest in social culture, digital trends, and the evolving landscape of beauty and personal care online.
  • Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in an in-house agency, embedded studio, or social-specialist environment.
  • Familiarity with social commerce, paid social amplification, or integrated campaign planning.
  • Experience with influencer and creator management platforms.
  • A background in editorial, journalism, or content creation.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or adapting social strategy for different regions.
