About the role:
This is an opportunity to join OLIVER's dedicated in-house studio embedded with a globally recognised B2B organisation as an Interim Project Manager, leading creative and digital projects from brief to completion within a Digital Centre of Excellence. The studio sits at the heart of the client's marketing department — with an ambitious mandate to put the Saudi events industry on the global map. Based in London on a hybrid working pattern, you'll own the full project lifecycle across digital content, social campaigns, and events marketing: managing timelines, resources, and budgets, and keeping a high-volume, multi-discipline programme moving with clarity and momentum. Your ability to bring structure to complexity will keep projects on track and creative output at its best.
As Project Manager, you'll report to the Senior Project Manager and work as part of a 10-person Digital Centre of Excellence team, embedded within a wider group of 29 across OLIVER and the client organisation. You'll take full ownership of project plans — triaging incoming briefs, managing team capacity, facilitating review and approval processes, and ensuring every deliverable lands on time and to budget. You'll work alongside the client's other external agencies and partners, acting as a trusted bridge between agency rigour and client-side ways of working.
What you will be doing:
- Lead projects from initiation to completion — creating and maintaining project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, and breaking complex briefs into clear, manageable workstreams.
- Triage and prioritise incoming briefs, ensuring capacity is matched to demand across the team and new requests are resourced correctly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project status, risks, and challenges — communicating proactively with internal stakeholders, clients, and partner agencies.
- Coordinate between Marketing Managers and the Digital Centre of Excellence across all project phases, maintaining transparency on deliverables, dependencies, and milestones.
- Facilitate project meetings across all stages — from kick-off and discovery through to delivery and closure — using a consistent project methodology.
- Own the review and approval process for creative output, ensuring quality standards are met before work reaches the client or goes live.
- Manage project-level budgets: track spend against forecast, raise purchase orders, flag cost implications early, and keep stakeholders informed of financial performance.
- Monitor and maintain key Service Level Agreements across all parties involved.
- Build productive working relationships with team members, senior stakeholders, and event owners — ensuring priorities are understood and risks are escalated appropriately.
- Champion internal project management processes, supporting marketing managers to improve guidelines, templates, and workflows.
- Assess project resource requirements and advise on whether resourcing meets the demands of each brief.
- Some international travel may be required on an ad hoc basis.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Solid experience as a Project Manager in a creative agency or in-house creative environment, with a strong track record of delivering digital and social content projects.
- A clear understanding of digital disciplines — including digital content production, social campaigns, and events marketing.
- Confident stakeholder management skills — able to build trusted working relationships with clients, senior stakeholders, and partner agencies simultaneously.
- Clear, audience-appropriate communication — whether running a scrum, presenting to senior stakeholders, or writing a project update.
- Ability to integrate effectively within a client-side team while maintaining agency-level service and accountability.
- Experience in B2B environments; experience in events marketing is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Airtable or similar project management platforms is beneficial.
- Experience with Agile methodologies — sprint mapping and scrum facilitation — is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience managing project-level budgets, including spend tracking, purchase order management, and clear reporting of cost changes to stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Gen AI tools to enhance project management output — including brief writing, documentation, and workflow planning.
- Experience building personal AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and reduce administrative overhead.
- Agentic approach to problem-solving: able to break complex, multi-workstream challenges into structured plans and identify the most efficient path forward.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply sound judgment before acting on them.
- Formal qualifications are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts — gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.
