We are looking to recruit a Team Leader who will join our team. The Team Leader will play a crucial role in supporting resident daily activities, ensuring optimum wellbeing, independence, and a positive experience. Striving to provide a positive customer experience, the Team Leader will manage and lead the shift, overseeing a committed team of care staff to deliver high quality, person centered care.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating the care team
- Managing daily records
- Contributing to care plans
- Maintaining effective communication within the home
- Understanding and supporting residents' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs
- Actively contributing to staff learning and development
- Inducting new staff
- Ensuring reflective practice
- Promoting health and safety
- Responding to emergencies
- Delegating duties to the care team
- Remaining attentive to residents' needs throughout the shift
The Team Leader will be empathetic, patient, positive, and adaptable to change. Having defined areas of responsibility, the Team Leader may provide guidance to less experienced staff, produce non-standard letters or reports, and use discretion in resolving complex problems.
Do you have?
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent
- Desirable to possess an Assessor, Mentor Qualification
- Demonstrate essential experience in a similar care environment, with supervisory roles specifically with older individuals with dementia and physical disabilities
- Showcase experience in managing Health & Safety in the workplace
- Exhibit digital skills, including the use of care planning, medication, NHS, HR, and e-learning systems
- Demonstrate a proven ability to manage conflict and challenging situations to positive outcomes, while also effectively supervising and managing the performance of care staff
