We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a specialist complex care team, providing clinical leadership and oversight for adults and children receiving care in their own homes and community settings. This is an office and community-based role with responsibility for supporting the safe delivery and mobilisation of complex care packages.
Working Pattern
Flexible Monday–Friday working, with options including three full days or four half days and one full day. Weekend working is not part of the routine pattern, although occasional weekend support may be required.
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight for adults and children receiving care in their own homes and community settings, supporting the safe delivery and mobilisation of complex care packages. You will play a key role in the mobilisation of new care packages, clinical assessments, care planning, staff training, and competency assessments, while providing ongoing clinical guidance and support to care teams. The role requires a confident Registered Nurse who can work independently, manage clinical risks effectively, and build positive relationships with families, commissioners, case managers, and wider healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical assessment and mobilisation of new care packages
- Complete clinical risk assessments and care plans
- Provide clinical oversight and support to care teams
- Deliver clinical training and competency assessments
- Assess medication and clinical competencies
- Review MAR charts and support safe medication practice
- Carry out supervisions, spot checks and competency reviews
- Liaise with families, commissioners, case managers and healthcare professionals
- Manage and escalate clinical risks, incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Ensure compliance with CQC and clinical governance requirements
About You
- Active NMC PIN – Adult, Children's or Dual Qualified
- Minimum 2 years' clinical nursing experience
- Experience in complex care, community nursing or a hospital setting
- Experience of clinical risk assessment and person-centred care planning
- Knowledge of safeguarding and clinical governance
- Experience of training, coaching or assessing care staff
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
