We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Responsible Individual to take overall responsibility for managing and leading residential services in London. As the Responsible Individual, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Operations and ensuring that high standards of care and compliance are met across all homes.

Your role will involve overseeing the planning, development, and delivery of effective and sustainable services aligned with strategic goals, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for young people. This includes registering and maintaining Ofsted compliance for operational and new homes, driving performance to achieve and maintain Good or Outstanding ratings.

You will lead, coach, and supervise Registered Managers and their teams, support performance reviews, succession planning, and staff development while managing systems such as ClearCare, Linguix, Breathe HR, and Planday to ensure efficient operations, staff scheduling, and quality reporting.

Financial responsibilities will include budget oversight, monitoring expenditures, managing fee packages, increasing financial viability, and reducing vacancies. You will also provide weekly KPI reports to the Director of Operations and ensure service delivery exceeds key performance indicators.

In addition, the Responsible Individual will ensure robust safeguarding practices, build professional relationships with stakeholders, carry out audits and statutory reporting, and maintain full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory frameworks. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Do you have?

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, Children & Young Peoples Services, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, and the ability to apply them effectively
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to pass the Ofsted fit test
  • Extensive leadership experience in children's residential or supported accommodation settings
  • A track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • Valid Driving License
