About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proven Head of Recruitment to lead recruitment across our Ofsted division. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the Children’s Services sector and has a strong track record of successfully recruiting Registered Managers and senior operational professionals within Ofsted-regulated services. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team and operational leaders to understand recruitment requirements, attract high-quality candidates and ensure vacancies are filled with the right people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment activity across the Ofsted division.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of experienced Ofsted Registered Managers.
- Successfully recruit Registered Managers and other senior management positions.
- Work closely with operational managers and the SMT to understand current and future recruitment needs.
- Develop effective sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Manage the recruitment process from initial search through to offer and appointment.
- Build strong relationships with candidates and understand their experience, career aspirations and suitability.
- Maintain an active talent pool for future Registered Manager vacancies.
- Monitor recruitment activity and provide regular updates to the SMT.
- Support the growth and expansion of the Ofsted division through effective recruitment.
About You
- Proven experience in recruitment within Children’s Services / Ofsted-regulated services.
- Excellent knowledge of the Ofsted and Children’s Services recruitment market.
- Experience recruiting at management and senior management level.
- Strong candidate sourcing and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently while partnering closely with senior leaders.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to recruitment.
- Strong communication, organisation and influencing skills.
