As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting operational leaders, strengthening employee relations, and contributing to the development of effective, people-led practices.

About the Role

The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior leaders and operational managers to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused HR support. This role has a strong emphasis on Employee Relations, offering expert guidance across a range of complex and sensitive people matters. You will act as a trusted advisor, supporting service delivery through effective people management, compliance with employment legislation, and the consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Experience within healthcare or a regulated environment will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with operational leaders to support workforce planning and people strategy
  • Provide expert advice on complex Employee Relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Support managers to handle casework confidently, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes
  • Interpret and apply employment legislation, HR policies, and best practice guidance
  • Contribute to organisational change initiatives, including restructures and TUPE processes where required
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Use HR data and insight to identify trends and support continuous improvement
  • Promote positive employee engagement and a supportive workplace culture

About You

  • Proven experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR advisory role
  • Strong background in Employee Relations, with the ability to manage complex ER cases independently
  • Experience within the healthcare, social care, or a similarly regulated sector (highly desirable)
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (preferred), or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident working with senior leaders and operational teams
  • Pragmatic, resilient, and solutions-focused approach
