Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 5.2 tons HDD Truck in compliance with UK transport rules and regulations.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
- Ensure goods are securely loaded, transported, and offloaded preventing damage and loss.
- Complete deliveries and collections on schedule, following planned routes.
- Accurately record driving hours, breaks and rest periods using a digital tachograph.
- Maintain and submit delivery paperwork, logs, and reports as required.
- Adhere to Driver CPC, Working Time Directive, and Tachograph regulations.
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure routine maintenance requirements are met.
- Follow all health and safety, manual handling, and company policies.
- Report incidents, accidents, or delays immediately to management.
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Licence Category C.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Up-to-date DVLA Group 2 medical.
- Proven experience driving rigid HDD vehicles (5.2-ton class preferred).
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
