As a key member of our leadership team, the Deputy Director – Commercial will drive strategic growth and operational excellence. You will represent Olive Jar Digital in delivering services to UK Government departments and private sector clients, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the successful delivery of impactful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Service Delivery, Talent Management, and Bid Management teams to ensure high performance and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in UK Government departments and private sector organisations.
- Oversee the delivery of services, ensuring all contractual obligations and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Support the Service Delivery team with Statements of Work (SOWs) and strategic resource allocation.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within existing client accounts.
- Create and manage a strategic roadmap, presented to directors each month.
- Lead talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top‑tier digital professionals.
- Ensure rigorous quality assurance and vetting processes for all recruited personnel.
- Collaborate with internal teams to anticipate resource needs and address skill gaps.
- Responsible for the end‑to‑end bid process, from opportunity identification to submission.
- Develop compelling bid strategies and oversee the creation of high‑quality, persuasive tender responses.
- Ensure strict compliance with all procurement regulations and governance frameworks.
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading and managing multi‑disciplinary teams in a high‑performance culture.
- In‑depth understanding of the UK public and private sectors, including government structures, procurement, and key stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget management, contract negotiation, and delivering value for money.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and government officials.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills with experience overseeing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience influencing and winning over C‑Level executives.
