What You’ll Do

  • Design end-to-end user journeys for digital services, focusing on simplicity and accessibility.
  • Use research insights, prototypes, and data to inform and iterate interaction designs.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and design artefacts to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and GDS Service Standard.
  • Participate in usability testing and turn findings into actionable improvements.
  • Advocate for user‑centred design principles within the team and with stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of user‑centred design, accessibility, and usability principles.
  • Skilled at creating wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns.
  • Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with GDS design principles and service standards (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable iterating designs based on evidence and user feedback.
