What You’ll Do
- Design end-to-end user journeys for digital services, focusing on simplicity and accessibility.
- Use research insights, prototypes, and data to inform and iterate interaction designs.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design artefacts to communicate ideas effectively.
- Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
- Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility standards and GDS Service Standard.
- Participate in usability testing and turn findings into actionable improvements.
- Advocate for user‑centred design principles within the team and with stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of user‑centred design, accessibility, and usability principles.
- Skilled at creating wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns.
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with GDS design principles and service standards (desirable).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable iterating designs based on evidence and user feedback.
