Job Title: Supervising Social Worker

Salary: up to £40,918 DOE

Location: Telford

Working Pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker to join Nexus Fostering at our Telford office, covering foster families across Shropshire, Shrewsbury, Staffordshire, and Wolverhampton.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will manage a caseload to support foster carers and children/young people, ensuring they receive necessary guidance, training, and support. You will collaborate with clinical and support teams to provide the right support for carers and children, undertake home visits, and ensure children’s care and development needs are met through placement management, planning, and intervention.

Key responsibilities include maintaining contact with foster carers and children, conducting home visits, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Recognised Social Work qualification
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Full UK Driving Licence and vehicle
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check
  • Experience in children’s services and foster care
  • Willingness to participate in out-of-hours support and occasional weekend work
