Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join the team at Nexus Fostering. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated social worker to be based at our Norwich office, which covers foster families across Norfolk and Suffolk.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Case Management: Manage up to 10 active and complex cases, providing tailored support to foster carers and children in placement.
- Supervision & Support: Offer consistent supervision and guidance to foster carers, ensuring the best outcomes for the children and young people in their care.
- Collaborative Work: Work alongside Local Authorities, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and a high standard of care.
- On-Call Support: Join our out-of-hours service, offering advice and support to foster carers during critical situations.
- Child Protection: Respond promptly and appropriately to any child protection concerns, always prioritising the safety and well-being of children.
- Form F Assessments: Lead professional assessments and present reports to the fostering panel.
- Training & Development: Lead training sessions for prospective and post-approval foster carers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 3 years post qualifying experience
- Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree and current SWE registration
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
- Experience of working to targets and performance indicators
- Have experience in children's services and foster care delivery
- Willing to participate in an out of hours telephone support system and undertake occasional out of hours/weekend work by attending events, meetings and training
