An exciting opportunity has arisen for aSenior Supervising Social Worker to join the team at NexusFostering. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated socialworker to be based at our office in Birmingham, which coversfoster families across Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley andWalsall.
The Role
As Supervising Social Worker, you willprovide a high level of supervision and support to foster carers,as well as the children/young people with complex needs placedwith them.
You will be responsible for therecruitment, assessment and approval of foster carers (Form Fmodel) and present written reports to the fostering panel. Youwill also be required to undertake independent visits, buildingpositive and trusting relationships.
The successful candidate will need to be able to confidently provide training and support to foster carersand operate within the current legislation, regulations andguidance set out for fostering services.
You will be responsible for ensuring thatchildren&©s care and development needs are met withinplacements by undertaking necessary placement management,planning and intervention for both emergency and plannedreferrals.

- Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree andcurrent SWE registration
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence and haveaccess to a vehicle for work purposes
- Willing to undertake an enhancedDBS
- Experience of working to targets andperformance indicators
- Have experience in children&©sservices and foster care delivery
- Willing to participate in an out ofhours telephone support system and undertake occasional out ofhours/weekend work by attending events, meetings andtraining
