Location: Rawtenstall

Salary: £26,300 per annum

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Mon – Fri but flexibility required to include some evenings and weekends when the need arises.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Support Worker to join the team at Olive Branch Fostering. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated support worker to be based at our Rawtenstall Office.

The Role: As Family Support Worker you will be supporting the fostering household and children/young people in placement, according to their needs as defined by the Placement Plan. You will work closely with the Supervising Social Worker and Area Manager to enhance placement stability and to build positive relationships with the children/young people and fostering household.

Team work is key to this role and you will collaborate with the foster families, children/young people and the wider team to deliver the best possible outcomes. You will contribute to the organisation of engaging activities for our Foster Families and children/young people, as well as providing support when required at meetings regarding our children/young people.

What we’re looking for…

  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
  • Experience working with Children & Young people
  • In depth Knowledge of Cultural Diversity and working in partnership with people and communities.
  • A good understanding of the needs of looked after children
