Olital Recycling is looking for a reliable and hands-on WEEE Recycling Operative to support day to day operations at our recycling facility. You will be working with a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment, helping us process materials safely and efficiently while supporting our commitment to sustainable waste management.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and handling WEEE materials and directing them into the correct recycling streams
- Inspecting and assessing incoming items to meet recycling and compliance standards
- Operating a forklift to move pallets, batteries, solar panels and other equipment
- Assisting with dismantling and processing electrical items where required
- Following all health, safety and environmental regulations
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets
- Supporting collections and deliveries when needed, using company vehicles
- Carrying out other duties relevant to the role as required
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in recycling, waste management or warehouse work is preferred
- Forklift licence and confidence operating lifting equipment
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety
- Mechanical aptitude or experience dismantling electrical equipment is an advantage
- Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
