OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for our client located in Hull with travel across the UK. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning.
This is a senior, client-facing position where you'll act as Lead Electrical Engineer, managing multiple projects, coordinating on-site teams, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead electrical engineering delivery across multiple projects
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Prepare tenders, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
- Manage project performance, including cost tracking and reporting
- Oversee on-site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
- Produce technical documentation (RAMS, reports, inspection & maintenance plans)
- Support commissioning, FAT, and project close-out activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes
- Support business development and client relationship building
Strong experience across full project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning).
In-depth understanding of BS7671, ATEX, and electrical safety standards.
Solid knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial management.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
Strong technical expertise in electrical design and installation.
Commercial awareness and contract management.
Excellent planning, organisation, and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Trimble (Amtech) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
