OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Survey Manager for our major client located In Immingham. This is a full-time permanent position. Job Summary: The Survey Manager holds a pivotal position in the technical execution of both maritime and land-based surveys, gathering crucial data for the construction process. They maintain direct communication with the construction and engineering departments, ensuring the geometric control of the site’s structures and installations. They oversee survey projects from inception to completion, crafting optimal surveys to meet project needs. They also foster relationships with stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact with their counterpart customer representative, underscoring their indispensable role in the company’s operations. Key Responsibilities: Survey Management: Manage surveying activities for marine projects, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with regulatory standards. Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of surveyors, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Survey Planning: Develop survey plans and determine the scope, objectives, and methods required for accurate data collection. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and consistent data collection. Survey Techniques: Determine appropriate surveying techniques, such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanning. Collaboration: Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, contractors, and other engineering-related professionals to integrate survey data into construction processes. Budget Management: Manage survey budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation. Safety Protocols: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork to ensure the well-being of surveying teams and site personnel. Reporting: Prepare and present survey reports, maps, and data visualizations for client review and project documentation. Qualifications, Certifications and Experience: Strong experience in marine works Fluency in software programs related to survey and bathymetry Master quantities (land and marine) Data analysis and statistical methods knowledge Strong team management and leadership skills Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of providing survey functions for civil and construction works, including jetties. Hold a qualification in Land or Engineering Surveying or any other related qualifications (Senior QS) or professional experience Demonstrative experience in modern survey instrumentation, including total stations, GPS, data modelling, and manipulation through a survey CAD package. CSCS SSSTS or SMSTS First Aid Behavioural & Technical Competencies Experience of survey management in the design and construction industry.
