12.5-hour shifts, 6:30am7:00pm, including weekends About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced E&I Technician to join a precious metals refinery chemical plant based in Royston on a temporary contract for approximately 36 months. The successful candidate will provide electrical and instrumentation support across the plant, assisting with breakdowns, fault finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and installation activities. This is a hands-on role within a chemical processing environment, where strong knowledge of COMPEX and ATEX requirements is essential. Key Responsibilities Provide electrical and instrumentation support across the refinery and chemical plant. Respond to plant breakdowns and assist with fault finding and troubleshooting. Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues to minimise plant downtime. Support maintenance activities across electrical, instrumentation and associated plant systems. Carry out installation, modification and maintenance work as required. Work safely within a hazardous chemical-processing environment. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures, permits and relevant standards. Support the wider maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance activities. Identify potential equipment issues and contribute to preventative maintenance. Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to maintenance and engineering activities. Work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to ensure reliable plant operation. Essential Requirements Proven experience working as an E&I Technician / Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. Previous experience within a chemical, process, refinery or similarly hazardous industrial environment. COMPEX knowledge and experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team. Willingness and ability to work a 12.5-hour shift rota, including weekends.
