OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Mobile Plant Operative for our client located in Immingham. This is a full-time ongoing contract position, working 60 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As a Mobile Plant Operative you will be required to assist the MPO and Team Leader to ensure the manufacturing operation is run safely, correctly and efficiently. You are expected to assist with analytical decision making and communication by ensuring production and dispatch operations are safe and compliant to customer specification. You will be responsible for highlighting good ideas and issues to ensure everyone is aware of any successes or problems being encountered. You will be expected to contribute to continuous improvement activities and projects to drive best practice on shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the companies Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance.
- Report to the Team Leader.
- Organise your area of responsibility in partnership with assistance from the Team Leader.
- Ensure targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for the accurate capture and completion of data using computer systems, including SAP.
- Ensure clear communication between colleagues.
- Assist in solving problems in order to find root-cause production related issues and machine breakdowns.
- Highlight and escalate any Maintenance requirements.
- Responsible for quality checks in line with quality standards and working closely with our Technical colleagues.
- Propose ideas and solutions.
- Contribute, support and improve team performance by working collaboratively, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Ensure comprehensive records are logged and maintained.
- Carry out necessary actions to minimise downtime and help to drive process efficiency.
- Ensure downtimes are utilised for rework/maintenance/compliance checks.
- Responsible for area ownership and housekeeping.
- Anything commensurate to complete your role FLT driving.
Requirements:
- A high regard for health and safety standards with an understanding of H&S regulations.
- Basic gypsum technical and product knowledge.
- Data capture, analysis and inputting.
- Siemens S5/S7 experience an advantage.
- A good level of spoken & written English.
- IT literacy: proficiency in the basic functions of MS Office Word, Excel and SAP.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Good clear communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, with a right first time mentality.
- Self-motivated.
- Communicating with other departments to develop best practice.
- Ensure production remains compliant with standards and procedures.
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Must hold an FLT licence.
