OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Lead Piping Engineer for a leading Project Management and Engineering design consultancy based in the Humber region. This position provides an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking lead engineer to be part of a successful and progressive organisation.
Job Specification:
- Contract, PAYE or a full time, permanent staff position is available working within a consultancy organisation.
- Leading teams of Piping Designers on multidiscipline projects.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Chemical sectors.
- Experience of plant layout and design of complex piping systems.
- Good appreciation of project coordination and information management.
- Confident in client facing model reviews, change management, preparing Technical queries along with accurate progress reporting.
- Project phases from Concept through FEED to detail design and support during fabrication/installation.
Skills & Qualification:
- HND qualified minimum or IEng status.
- Competent in leading design within a point cloud environment.
- ACAD Plant 3D competent.
- Competent Navisworks manage user.
- A minimum of 10 years piping engineering experience is required with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Excellent communication (written and oral in English) and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in managing priorities and timelines simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and enhance key process engineering competencies and to lead and inspire the team.
- To coach and mentor team members to accelerate people development, to improve quality of service and maintain consistency of deliverables.
