OLG Recruitment are currently looking for an Instrument/Functional Safety Engineer to work for our client located in Saltend, Hull. This is a contract opportunity working 40 hours per week, until the end of August 2026.

The role is to back fill the Instrument/FS Asset Engineer whilst on a secondment, and will conduct Business as usual Asset Engineering Activities, including supporting a DSEAR and Functional Safety projects on site.

We will be looking for the following:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Instrument discipline (or equivalent)
  • Incorporated / Chartered membership of relevant institute
  • Good working knowledge of EC&I industry related legislation and Standards i.e. DSEAR2002, BS7671, BSEN 60079, BSEN 60947, BSEN 62271, BSEN61511
  • TUV FS Engineer or Equivalent
  • Experience in a 24/7 industrial environment including:
  • Positive SHE commitment & contributions
  • Maintenance contract management
  • Operations interface & procedure
  • Legislative, best practice standards & insurance compliance
