OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for our client located in Hull with travel across the UK. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. This is a senior, client-facing position where you'll act as Lead Electrical Engineer, managing multiple projects, coordinating on-site teams, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead electrical engineering delivery across multiple projects
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Prepare tenders, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
- Manage project performance, including cost tracking and reporting
- Oversee on-site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
- Produce technical documentation (RAMS, reports, inspection & maintenance plans)
- Support commissioning, FAT, and project close-out activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes
- Support business development and client relationship building
Requirements:
- Strong experience across full project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning)
- In-depth understanding of BS7671, ATEX, and electrical safety standards
- Solid knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial management
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK
- Strong technical expertise in electrical design and installation
- Commercial awareness and contract management
- Excellent planning, organisation, and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Trimble (Amtech) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
