OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for our client located in Hull with travel across the UK. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. This is a senior, client-facing position where you'll act as Lead Electrical Engineer, managing multiple projects, coordinating on-site teams, and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical engineering delivery across multiple projects
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Prepare tenders, proposals, budgets, and project schedules
  • Interpret technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Manage project performance, including cost tracking and reporting
  • Oversee on-site activities, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance
  • Produce technical documentation (RAMS, reports, inspection & maintenance plans)
  • Support commissioning, FAT, and project close-out activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes
  • Support business development and client relationship building

About You

You're a highly motivated and commercially aware engineer with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellence. You will have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role (consultancy or contracting)
  • Strong experience across full project lifecycle (FEED to commissioning)
  • Excellent knowledge of LV & HV systems (up to 132kV)
  • In-depth understanding of BS7671, ATEX, and electrical safety standards
  • Solid knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and commercial management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (minimum IEng)
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g. IET)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK
