OLG Recruitment are currently looking for an Instrument/Functional Safety Engineer to work for our client located in Saltend, Hull. This is a contract opportunity working 40 hours per week, until the end of August 2026.
Description: The role is to back fill the Instrument/FS Asset Engineer whilst on a secondment, and will conduct Business as usual Asset Engineering Activities, including supporting a DSEAR and Functional Safety projects on site.
We will be looking for the following:
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Instrument discipline (or equivalent)
- Incorporated / Chartered membership of relevant institute
- Good working knowledge of EC&I industry related legislation and Standards i.e. DSEAR 2002, BS 7671, BS EN 60079, BS EN 60947, BS EN 62271, BS EN 61511
- TUV FS Engineer or Equivalent
- Experience in a 24/7 industrial environment including:
- Positive SHE commitment & contributions
- Maintenance contract management
- Operations interface & procedure
- Legislative, best practice standards & insurance compliance
