Doves Nest Nursing Home is looking for a Chef to join our team. This will be a permanent position.

Shift Pattern: 8am – 6pm

We are looking for someone hard working, committed, and enthusiastic to join our kitchen team at Doves Nest.

Description:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious and appetising meals in a timely manner
  • Present meals to a high standard and quality
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with care staff to understand the dietary requirements of service users

Qualifications:

  • A willingness to work as part of a team to provide a high quality catering service for our service users
  • A passion for ensuring that no one is discriminated against or excluded and an understanding of human rights and its impact on the services delivered to residents
  • An understanding of the importance of empathy in all areas of employment, understanding the values of others and always providing a caring service
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills to improve the service
  • A willingness to participate in inter-disciplinary team working to support individuals
  • A dedication to meeting the needs of our service users and gathering first-hand information to use for improvements to the catering service

The successful candidate will be subjected to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check in order to work in our kitchens.
