We are currently looking to expand our care team at Fernlea located in Hazel Grove, with on-site parking and easily accessible via public transport.
As a care assistant with Olea Care you will be expected to:
- Deliver hands-on care to residents in a person-centred way while assisting clients with personal care tasks.
- Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, re-positioning and movement of clients.
- Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
- Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life and encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
- Exemplify our Philosophy of Care and act in accordance with the General Social Care Council's Code of Conduct.
- Promote the good reputation of the home at all times.
- Carry out all duties in a safe manner showing regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, colleagues, patients and visitors to the home.
The ideal care assistant will have:
- A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs.
- Experience in the delivery of care in a residential/nursing setting.
- A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Self-motivation and confidence.
