Role: Registered General Nurse

Location: Doves Nest

The nurse will work with the clinical team to deliver high quality nursing care to our residents and:

  • Ensure, through effective supervision, management and a high standard of professional practice, a delivery of care that is conducive to the clinical, spiritual, psychological, health and welfare needs of the resident is maintained.
  • Provide advice and clinical expertise in the management of complex cases and high risk situations.
  • Develop person centred care plans that improve resident experiences and achieve positive outcomes, incorporating risk assessments and other relevant documentation that detail the action which needs to be taken by the care team to ensure that all aspects of the health, personal care, psychological and social care needs of the residents are met.
  • Provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence to staff, residents and significant others.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage complex situations effectively, making decisions based on the overall long term impact to the home and business.
  • Deal with conflict in the proper setting and use outcomes as an opportunity for improvement.
  • Resolve difficult situations and settle disputes equitably by effectively understanding others and finding common ground to attain a solution.
  • Negotiate skilfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups and reach effective solutions without damaging relationships.
  • Act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications: The nurse must be a first level nurse with a minimum of 2 years general nursing experience and a Valid UK NMC Pin Number.
