The Role
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for operational excellence and food quality? We’re looking for an Operations Manager to take full responsibility for our flagship Central Production Unit in East London. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on ensuring seamless operations, financial performance, and high team engagement. You’ll uphold our brand’s commitment to quality and consistency while driving efficiency, developing talent, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
What You’ll Do
- Lead nightly operations at the CPU - particularly during our peak hours (20:00 - 02:00) to ensure all production meets agreed specifications, quality standards and deadlines.
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of bakers, pastry chefs, and support staff - driving operational excellence, consistency, and building a robust talent pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain strong communication between production, maintenance, supply chain, and retail.
- Analyse data to identify trends, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement.
- Report on production output, costs, and labour usage, while managing budgets effectively.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of strong leadership experience in a large-scale kitchen, CPU, or food production environment.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.
- Proven ability in managing teams, budgets, and operational performance.
- Experience in driving quality through management, training, and team development.
- Highly organised, process-driven, and able to perform under pressure.
