We are looking for a passionate and skilled Artisan Baker to join our bakery team for the night shift at our Leyton location. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a love for baking who takes pride in crafting high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked goods. As an Artisan Baker, you will be involved in every step of the baking process—from mixing and shaping dough to baking and finishing our premium products using traditional methods and top-quality ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of artisan breads and pastries according to company recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure all products meet the high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the bakery, following strict hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production goals.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and operation of bakery equipment.

About you:

Qualifications: Food Safety Level 2 (preferred). Formal baking qualifications are an advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a bakery, with hands-on experience in artisan or craft baking.

Skills: Attention to detail, ability to maintain high product quality and cleanliness, and contribute positively to a team environment.

Knowledge: Proficiency in artisan baking techniques, ingredient knowledge, and food safety practices. Comfortable working with various bakery tools and equipment.

Communication skills: Ability to work well under pressure, accountability for actions, and openness to feedback. A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality. Adaptable to fast-paced environments and willing to learn and improve continuously.

This is a full-time position requiring night and weekend availability, with 45 hours per week across 5 days out of 7.
