Senior Researcher – Oldworth Consulting Oldworth Consulting is seeking a Senior Researcher to join our dynamic, premium executive search team. This role is a blend of cutting-edge research and client engagement , operating across the tech-enabled consumer, media, retail, leisure, and hospitality sectors. Conduct in-depth industry and company research to understand client needs and identify target companies, emerging trends, and talent pools. Candidate Identification & Outreach: Identify and approach high-potential candidates through creative research methods and leveraging our proprietary databases. Develop comprehensive reports on potential candidates and target companies , mapping the talent landscape for each assignment. Screen and evaluate candidates alongside Consultants to ensure we present the best qualified talent to clients. Ensure all data (e.g. candidate information, market feedback) is captured accurately in our systems, maintaining the integrity and quality of our research data. Support business development by monitoring market developments and spotting opportunities in our sectors. Conduct background research for pitch materials and client presentations, and attend select pitch meetings to provide market insight where appropriate. Knowledge & Innovation: Develop deep domain knowledge in our focus industries, staying ahead of trends and sharing actionable market intelligence with the team. Intellectually curious with a data-driven mindset, constantly exploring new research tools and techniques. You can craft high-quality, well-structured documents for clients and confidently articulate insights to stakeholders at all levels. Interpersonal Savvy: High emotional intelligence and professionalism , with the ability to interact credibly with CEOs, founders and senior executives. Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality. Savvy with research technologies and CRM databases (experience with tools like LinkedIn, CRM platforms, or AI-driven search tools is a plus). Embraces a people-led, data-backed approach, ideally skilled at using data and digital tools to augment human judgment in decision-making. Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred). 3+ years of research experience in executive search or a related field (e.g. consulting, market research, recruitment) is ideal. We are open to no degree if experience has carved out the necessary processes.
