In this role you will be working to technical drawings with the assistance of several engineering tools whilst using general practices. The individual will be working within a small team to meet targets and hit deadlines, which will require you to not only have a good work ethic, but to also be self-driven to meet goals and targets set by the Company!
*Duties:*
As a Production Operative your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Produce a wide range of high-end product for our customers.
* Drilling/Packing/Blacking/Trimming/Cutting/Braid Making and finishing parts
* To follow work orders and template instruction to cut materials for the shop floor
* Use of various engineering practices – such as drilling, occasionally wiring and assembly
* To follow in house build specifications and engineering drawings to produce rubber hoses suitable for the MOD
* Building hoses of multiple sizes
* Labour intensive work, heavy lifting on a day-to-day basis; lifting aids are provided where necessary.
* Good time management with the ability to work unsupervised and think outside the box.
* Hand amending any paperwork in accordance with process used on the job and ensuring the information is passed to the correct people to incorporate
* Overtime co-operation is required
*About you*
The successful candidate will have;
* An ability to work collaboratively with others, but can also work individually
* Previous experience utilizing drilling equipment and tooling is preferable
* The ability to follow instructions, maintaining a good work ethic in a professional manner
* Flexibility for low demand periods where other tasks may require support
* Solution based thought process
* Excellent attention to detail, and take pride in their work
* Mechanical abilities
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
