Job Title: Welders & Platers
Location: Oldham & Sheffield
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit experienced Welders, MIG/TIG Welders and Platers to join our fabrication team in our Oldham and Sheffield sites.
Working within a heavy manufacturing environment, you will be involved in the production of high-quality fabricated components, working from engineering drawings and specifications to meet demanding quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Mark out, assemble, fit, tack and weld components
- Carry out plating, fabrication and welding activities to the required standard
- Use fabrication machinery, welding equipment and hand tools safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Work with overhead cranes and lifting equipment where trained
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area
- Follow all company quality and health & safety procedures
What We're Looking For:
- Experience as a Welder, MIG/TIG Welder or Plater within fabrication, engineering or heavy manufacturing
- Ability to work from engineering drawings
- Strong practical fabrication and welding skills
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Awareness of safe working practices and lifting operations
- Reliable team players with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
