Role Overview:
MioCare is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join their Equipment and Adaptations Service, supporting individuals to maintain independent lifestyles and live safely at home. The role involves providing tailored equipment and adaptations based on assessed needs, collaborating closely with the Community Occupational Therapy Team, and managing grant paperwork and funding eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, design, and prepare working plans for property adaptations, including planning and building regulation applications.
- Complete Disabled Facilities Grant paperwork and obtain landlord permissions as needed.
- Prepare work specifications and obtain quotations for building works and materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, ensuring clarity on proposed layouts and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Knowledge of building structures, specifications, materials, and costs.
- Experience in CAD drawing and manual drafting to produce detailed layouts and plans.
- Understanding of GDPR and record-keeping restrictions.
- Empathy and a customer-focused approach.
