Substantive Tutor Education & Early Years

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 14.66 hours (0.4 fte)
Based: Oldham, Coldhurst and Werneth Park centres and schools and community venues

Role Overview:
To deliver high quality teaching learning and assessment that complies with the quality standards of the service. Course delivery will include a range of accredited and tailored learning Education and Early Years, vocational and non-vocational course levels Entry 3 to Level 2. Assessing learners work to the standards and competence will be a key element of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and relevant resources for accredited and non-accredited course/s.
- To complete all appropriate administrative tasks, including completion of registers, learner agreement forms, risk assessments and records in line with Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
- To guide learners and assess their work to the standards of the qualification, and assuring they demonstrate competence.
- Provide individual / group ongoing assessment to support learning in order to ensure achievement, competence and progression.
- To ensure that individual learner needs are met and progress is monitored and recorded and is reflected in lesson planning.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- An assessor qualification at level 3
- Teaching qualification and occupational competence in Education and EYFS
- Excellent organisational skills to deliver teaching and learning online and face to face within the Post 19 sector; with practitioner experience in the Education and EYFS curriculum.
