To develop, monitor and review individual risk assessments, homes support plans, care plans and ensure that all actions resulting from them are followed.

To assist young people in dealing with behavioural, emotional, or other difficulties in line with Policy, Procedure, Supported Accommodation Standards & Regulations.

Knowledge of safeguarding in a children and young people’s context

To participate in the professional life of the home and to work as a member of the residential staff team.

Accurately complete all relevant records and files in accordance with Statutory requirements and home policies

Participate in training, attend staff meetings, and assist with home functions including administration duties.

Ensure the compliance of regulation frameworks the home falls within and understand OFSTED.

To support young people to develop skills and confidence moving on to independent living., This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS (and a Certificate of Good Conduct where you have lived abroad for 12 months or more in the last 10 years).

Experience of delivering life skills and / or participation programmes to young people in a youth work, social care, or health setting.

At least 1 years’ experience working with children and young people.

Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification). Preferably started or completed or competent with qualifications and able to complete level 3 in residential care.
