Propps Hall Primary School is a popular and successful single‑form entry primary school in Failsworth. We are a friendly community school with a strong and caring ethos. We are seeking to appoint a skilled, confident and proactive Playworker for our Before and After School Club (Phoenix Club). Our Before and After School Club is led and managed by the school and provides a small, nurturing environment offering high‑quality childcare for working families.

The working hours for this post are 7:30 am–8:50 am and 3:00 pm–5:45 pm, Monday to Thursday, with an earlier finish of 5:20 pm on Fridays.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive, caring and child‑centred approach
  • Is energetic, proactive and committed to providing high‑quality childcare
  • Is professional, reliable and works well as part of a team
  • Has experience working with children, ideally within a school or childcare setting
  • Can confidently lead and support other staff
  • Can plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understands safeguarding responsibilities and follows procedures effectively
