NJC Points 47-50 £58,896 - £62,201 per annum Full Time/Full Year Commencing as soon as possible.

New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi‑academy trust of eight special schools and two specialist post‑16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also two post‑19 provisions. Our settings support a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. We are at an exciting point in our development, and this role will be crucial in shaping the estates strategy of the Trust as we continue to grow.

We are now looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and values‑driven Head of Estates to lead and deliver a Trust‑wide estates and facilities service across our MAT. This is a pivotal role that will support our mission to deliver high‑quality education and improve outcomes for all young people across our schools. Working in close partnership with our COO, the post holder will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive estates and facilities strategy, ensuring that all environments are safe, compliant, inclusive and fully enabling for our children and young people with SEND.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a key strategic role in developing and delivering a Trust‑wide Estates and Facilities Strategy aligned to the MAT’s vision and long‑term goals.
  • Be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Trust's Estates Team, modelling the MAT’s values, ethical leadership and commitment to safeguarding.
  • Lead capital planning, lifecycle maintenance and Condition Data Collection programmes.
  • Ensure full compliance with all estates‑related statutory and regulatory requirements, including fire safety, asbestos, water safety, electrical and gas safety.
  • Act as the Trust’s competent person for estates‑related health and safety, working alongside central Health and Safety colleagues.
  • Lead the Trust’s sustainability and decarbonisation agenda in line with DfE expectations.
