The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

You will work within a supportive environment, part of the Accounts Payable Team. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices to contracted suppliers for Oldham Council. You will manage your own workload and work alongside Council departments to ensure payments are made within supplier payment terms. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing a high volume of invoices accurately, ensuring deadlines and performance targets are met.
  • Handling all inquiries in a professional and courteous manner that demonstrates excellent customer service.
  • Managing and prioritising multiple mailboxes to ensure incoming invoices meet the required standards.
  • Dealing with incoming telephone enquiries.
  • Developing knowledge and understanding of Council Services to effectively handle enquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Using IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prioritising and managing your own workload to achieve deadlines and targets.
  • Providing advice with good communication skills.
