Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a statutory social work team who are responsible for Assessment, CIN and Child Protection and Court work
- Ensure high-quality, child-centred practice and effective risk management
- Provide supervision, support, and performance management to staff
- Maintain oversight plans, ensuring clear outcomes for children
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to support effective practice
- Monitor performance, quality of practice, and drive continuous improvement
Key Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Significant post-qualification experience in statutory children's social care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and thresholds
- Demonstrable ability to manage risk and make sound decisions in complex situations
- Experience of performance management, quality assurance and driving improvement
- Excellent communication and partnership working skills
- Commitment to high-quality, child-centred practice and continuous professional development
