Role Overview


To support the delivery of an excellent customer experience across the Heritage, Libraries, Arts and Archive service and support the development of volunteering and work experience placement opportunities including recruitment, administration duties and a development/ reward programme.



Key Responsibilities



  • To deliver excellent customer service at all times and to provide safe, welcoming services that are fully accessible for users from diverse backgrounds.

  • Assist with recruiting suitable volunteers and updating appropriate policies and procedures relating to volunteers

  • Devise suitable roles and training programmes for volunteers across Heritage, Libraries & Arts

  • Day to day support of volunteers including being the first point of contact



Key Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:



  • Experience of using IT databases and conducting internet searches.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse customer base and manage the expectations of different customer groups and individuals.

  • Literacy and numeracy skills (Level 2 or equivalent)
