Responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate and supervise a team of staff and volunteers to deliver highly effective support to learners.
  • Individual learner assessments and quality assurance processes within Learning Support, including observation of practice and supported learner assessments for exam access arrangements.
  • To be a Lead Officer for Safeguarding vulnerable adults and contribute to the wider Council\’s relevant strategic Safeguarding groups.
  • To be responsible for planning and reviewing the development plan of the team in line with overall service planning and departmental and corporate objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • To be compliant with all funding and regulatory bodies requirements.
  • Relevant LDD qualification at minimum level 3, and a management qualification.
  • Excellent organisational, ICT and budget management skills.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, develop and organise staff.
