We are looking to recruit a Personal Care Assistant at the New Bridge Learning Centre, Fitton Hill, Oldham.

Salary: NJC Point 3 – £24,796 per annum (full time, full year) Actual salary pro rata: £19,669 per annum

Hours: 34 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days (195 days)

Status: Permanent

Location: Initially at New Bridge Learning Centre, Fitton Hill, Oldham (may work across multiple sites if required)

Closing Date: Monday 29 June 2026 (9 am)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care support to pupils and students aged 11–19 who require assistance in the bathroom.
  • Maintain dignity and confidentiality, paying attention to detail and demonstrating flexibility in working across multiple sites.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player, supporting the wider Personal Care Assistant team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar caring role is essential.
  • Ability to understand and meet the needs of individuals with a wide range of SEND, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, multisensory impairments, and autism spectrum conditions.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Willingness to undergo DBS checks, satisfactory references, and proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All candidates will be subject to pre‑employment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.
