We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Domestic Cleaner to help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and young people. You will be responsible for cleaning bedrooms, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms, as well as supporting with laundry and waste management. Working to high standards of hygiene and infection control, you will play an important role in promoting the wellbeing and comfort of residents. The role requires flexibility, respect for confidentiality, and an understanding of safeguarding and health & safety procedures within a care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To clean areas of the establishment in accordance with the cleaning specification.
  • To undertake any relevant training, i.e. manual handling, equality and diversity, induction and any other training that may be required from time to time.
  • Flexible working is required at times of staff shortage and during holiday periods.
  • You must ensure time notes and other paperwork is submitted to cleaning services.
  • You may be required to work at other sites within reasonable distance.

Key Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of health & safety regulations within a workplace environment.
  • Willingness to undergo and obtain an enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including staff and young residents.
