We’re looking for a committed and motivated person to provide effective administrative support to Children’s Social Care Services by working as part of a team and contributing to excellent service delivery and achievement of service objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Type and produce presentations and format existing presentations (not authoring).
  • Produce information in different formats, including letters, reports, charts, maps and tables, and undertake mail‑merges, using branded templates where applicable.
  • Enter data into systems, including checks for completeness and correctness of information before inputting.
  • Design straightforward spreadsheets including the inputting of basic formulae.
  • Manipulate data within systems and run reports (including exception reports), analyse and correct errors as appropriate.
  • Maintain effective and efficient office and information systems, including compliance with external requirements where necessary.
  • Undertake filing, both paper and computerised, and co‑ordinate the archiving of documents and information according to the Council’s Data Retention Policy.

We need you to have:

  • Good organisational skills and be able to work on own initiative.
  • Experience of providing a high standard of customer service.
  • Experience of ordering goods and services and undertaking financial tasks.
  • Be a flexible team player, able to work at pace with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations.
