Oldham Active are currently recruiting Swim Teachers at some of the best swimming pool facilities across Oldham, with various hours available.
Due to the hours available and the training provided, this role would be particularly suitable for those wanting to work on a part time basis around other commitments such as college, university, childcare or other work commitments.
A requirement for the role is to hold a current STA Level 2 Certificate in Swimming (or equivalent).
For Parent and Baby lessons the STA Baby and Pre-school is a requirement.
The role requires the ability to pass and maintain an STA Safety Award for Teachers (SAT) or STA Pool Lifeguard (PLG) qualification if not already held and you will also be required to attend training for on a monthly basis in order to keep this qualification current and two quarterly CPD’s which will also be available throughout the year.

You must be able to travel as the position is at various pools including Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Failsworth Sports Centre, Oldham Leisure Centre, Royton Leisure Centre and Saddleworth Pool & Leisure Centre.

Your main duties will include
- Providing professional and friendly tuition to a variety of ages and abilities, either in a class setting or 1 to 1.
- Ensuring all pupils are kept in a safe and secure environment.
- Great delivery of customer service.
- Planning lessons, delivery high quality standards, and keeping records on attendance.
- Attend ongoing training sessions (CPD’s)
