ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a committed Student Experience Officer to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will:

  • Plan and deliver an ambitious, inclusive Enrichment and Personal Development programme for young people, apprentices and adult learners across the College
  • Work with curriculum teams to develop sector and faculty-based activity that complements learners' vocational studies and employability skills
  • Grow a diverse enrichment offer, including sport, clubs, competitions, projects and skills-based activities that build confidence, communication, teamwork, leadership and life skills
  • Organise whole-College events such as guest speakers, celebrations, exhibitions, campaigns and cross-College competitions
  • Build partnerships with community organisations, employers and sporting bodies to widen opportunities and increase participation
  • Break down barriers to participation by using learner feedback, student voice and data to reach a diverse range of learners
  • Track and report on impact, using participation and feedback data to identify gaps and improve provision
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Recent experience developing and facilitating social, cultural, enrichment and volunteering activities for young people
  • Understanding of varied enrichment programmes and how they fit within Study Programmes
  • Broad knowledge of the issues facing young people in post-16 education
  • Experience producing publicity materials and reports in various formats
  • Experience using a range of IT software, including Word, Excel and databases
