Oldham Athletic is looking for an experienced Lead Academy Physiotherapist to lead medical provision across all academy age groups.
The Role
You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and injury prevention of academy players, maintaining high standards of player welfare and medical care in line with EPPP. You will work closely with coaching, sports science and performance staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the academy's physiotherapy and medical provision
- Assess, diagnose and manage injuries from training and matches
- Design and deliver individual rehabilitation programmes
- Oversee return-to-play and return-to-training protocols
- Provide pitch-side medical cover for training and fixtures
- Keep accurate medical records and liaise with coaches, parents and external healthcare professionals
- Manage and support academy medical staff where appropriate
About You
- A recognised degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration
- A valid FA ITMMiF qualification
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Eligible to work in the UK and willing to complete an enhanced DBS checkDesirable: experience in a professional football academy, knowledge of EPPP and CSP membership
